Smaller Class Sizes Campaign

#OurKidsNeed/Smaller Class Sizes was awarded first place winner for best social media Campaign awarded by Metro New York Labors Communication Council.
The union together with parents and advocacy groups mounted an effort to reduced class sizes in New York City. The social media campaign #OurKidsNeed/Smaller Class Sizes has gathered nearly 44,000 signatures calling for class-size reduction.
The campaign started out with social media posts and posters displayed in store fronts in neighborhoods with the most overcrowded class rooms in the city. As the campaign grew larger; I produced buttons, stickers, placards and signs that were available for all to lobby for smaller class sizes.
Smaller Class Size Campaign  page is where you can find the entire toolkit I designed and the social media team and UFT Organizers posted and handed out to create their own custom messages on why smaller class sizes are necessary and always using the hashtag #OurKidsNeed.
